*** FOSTERED IN DELTONA, FL ***
Hi, Teddi Bear here.
No one is quite sure what breed(s) I might be......the shelter said I was a long hair Chihuahua, several fosters think some Eskie for sure, and the vet thinks Spaniel with maybe some Golden Retriever.  Well, whatever I am - I am very cute and adorable ever so soft and fluffy.
I'm estimated to be around 4 years old and I weigh 23#.  I love, love, LOVE people and getting all the attention I possibly can.  I am the perfect couch potato cuddler and I am totally content to lay next to you, or ON your feet, and be petted to sleep.  I am housetrained.
In my foster home I love to play with the other dogs now, especially the Chihuahua, but I am not comfortable around much larger 'in your face' dogs.  I do like my own space respected.  If you are interested in adopting me and you have other dogs, a slow introduction will be necessary and it may take me several days before I will relax and get along with everyone.
My ideal home would be adult only with no young children.  My foster home is quite active with other dogs and activity, and I am finding I really enjoy having so many things to do.  I'm sure not bored in my foster home.  Much to my delight, I just discovered TOYS and how much fun they can be.  I LOVE being outside and sure hope my forever home has a fenced back yard I can hang out in.
I desperately want to be good and please, and I don't always know how to do that, but I am smart and a quick learner. I would enjoy training classes and my foster mommy says I might enjoy some agility classes, as I can sail over all the barriers she tries to put out to contain me, haha!!  I'm not a big fan of loud noises nor do I like walking in the rain - so Florida's afternoon summer thunderstorms will be a double 'treat' for me.  But I do enjoy a bath and brushing, even my butt!
If you are looking for a loving companion dog, that would be me!  I sure hope you will consider me - you won't be sorry.  Please complete Eskie Rescuers online adoption application at   If you have any questions about me, please email dyan@eskierescuers.org.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
