Meet Sabre of Palm Bay, FL.
Sabre is an adult male of unknown age.  The owner told the shelter he is 6 years old when he was surrendered, but our vet estimated he was older, and more like 8 to 10 years old.  He is in very good health and weighs 27 pounds.  He is a very nice boy, likes people, other dogs and cats.
Sabre is a big ol' cuddle bug and loves to be with you and receive your attention and affection.  He enjoys his walks, is good on a leash, and is pretty sure he is the KING of his neighborhood.  He barks at strangers, but as soon as he meets them, sniffs them over and accepts a pet from them, he likes them just fine.
Sabre is a great companion dog and loves to lie next to you.  He does not jump on furniture or on the bed.  His only real quirk is that he does not like to be picked up, and may give you a little growl to let you know he doesn't enjoy it.  He is very food motivated, which makes training him or giving him any required pills a breeze.
We are accepting applications for Sabre now and he will be ready to go to his forever home after his dental on April 12.  He is being fostered in Palm Bay, FL.  If you have any questions about Sabre, please email dyan@eskierescuers.org.  If you are interested in giving Sabre the wonderful forever home he deserves, please complete our online adoption application:

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
